Local Since 1996
One-Stop started with a simple idea that still drives us: Mifflin County deserves dependable service at a fair price, from people who live here. Over the past 30 years, that’s meant everything from pagers and cell phones to fiber internet, security cameras and managed IT for local businesses. The technology keeps changing. Our commitment to this community hasn’t.
Three local companies, one team
Today’s One-Stop Communications brings together three local companies that had worked side by side for years.
One-Stop Communications of PA was founded in 1996 by Michael Buffington as an award-winning local retailer of wireless and satellite services, and it has served Central Pennsylvania ever since.
Mifflin County Wireless was born in 2020 out of frustration. The big providers didn’t reach much of the county, and where they did, speeds often fell short. It started with a single tower. Within months, hundreds of residents were asking for service, and within a year the network had grown to nine towers across Mifflin County and into Snyder County.
Telecentive was a locally managed IT provider for small and medium-sized businesses in Perry, Juniata, Mifflin, Centre and Huntingdon Counties. What started as IT support grew to include VoIP phones, security and cloud services.
Today, these three companies operate together as One-Stop Communications, led by President and CEO Cody Wian, with Mike Buffington still closely involved in planning and expansion. From our office at 101 East Market Street in Lewistown, we provide:
- Residential and business internet
- Phone service
- Satellite and streaming TV
- Managed IT and cloud services
- Network security and camera systems
